    Avand in vedere prevederile Legii nr. 101/1998 privind Statutul Bancii Nationale a Romaniei si tinand seama de evolutiile macroeconomice si monetare recente,

    Consiliul de administratie al Bancii Nationale a Romaniei hotaraste:

    1. Incepand cu data de 1 februarie 2002 se abroga prevederile privind taxa oficiala a scontului din Circulara Bancii Nationale a Romaniei nr. 11/1998 privind ratele dobanzilor practicate de Banca Nationala a Romaniei.
    2. Incepand cu aceeasi data se va calcula lunar rata dobanzii de referinta a Bancii Nationale a Romaniei, care va fi anuntata public in prima zi lucratoare a fiecarei luni, prin circulare ale Bancii Nationale a Romaniei.
    3. Pentru luna februarie 2002 nivelul ratei dobanzii de referinta a Bancii Nationale a Romaniei este de 34,6% pe an.
